BUILDING MAINTENANCE UNITS

A Building Maintenance Unit (BMU) is a mechanical and electronic crane suspended from the roof, which moves systematically over a structure while carrying human workers/specialists for the maintenance and cleaning of the facade. The suspended structure is a working platform of 2m or more, controlled by means of a multi-layer drum hoist and 4 independent wire ropes. Additionally, the BMU can be equipped with an auxiliary hoist for glass changing and other heavy duty maintenance work.

DAVITS & POWERED PLATFORMS

The Davit System is a traditional and effective method to provide permanent and temporary access to building facades and is typically used to suspend large work platforms. Single-user cradles and bosun’s chairs may also be suspended from individual davits.

SAFETY TIE BACKS & HORIZONTAL LIFELINES

Tie-back anchors can be used for various purposes. The following are some of its uses:

  • Securing building maintenance system i.e. outrigger beams, various suspension equipment.
  • Worker independently connected to tie-back anchor i.e. lifeline tie off point.
  • Horizontal lifeline system which is used to protect workers operating in the horizontal plane who may not have continuous access to suitable lifeline anchorage points.
